Such a simple yet powerful shift you share, Teyani! Our thoughts can be so helpful yet can also cause so much suffering. Reframing the questions we ask ourselves is a wonderful tool to shift perspective. A deep bow and a lotus for you 🙏🪷

Excellent point, Teyani!

I asked a friend why he did something and got a strong defensive response.

Never occurred to me that a why question 🙋🏻‍♀️ could be perceived as accusatory.

The person I asked responded with a b c d go fish.

Meaning there was no clear answer.

Perhaps 🤔 I could better ask: That’s interesting, I'm curious about your perspective on this topic. Could you help me understand some of your reasoning?

Do we really know why we pick x instead of y?

Some believe our choice is made by our body 3 seconds before we are conscious of that choice.

What do you all believe???

Yes, I do believe that we can understand what drives all our choices. The more that remains unconscious, the more we are acting out of habit, fear, old training whatever. Part of becoming mindful in our lives is that we learn our motivations, and drives for our actions. When we can be conscious of our actions, we are more congruent with our highest selves.

Hi... One can also ask, why do I need to be part of a techno-industrial civilization. Which then points to the entire question of existence itself. Currently there are far and few options otherwise.

Well, why still is a terrible question, because it results in a dead end. The truth is that you do Not need to be a part of a techno-industrial civilization. A better question might be, where could I live that would afford me the ability to avoid so much technology? And would I be able to give up all the conveniences I currently have to escape the techno world?

Hi Teyani... " live that would afford me the ability to avoid so much technology" Indeed. What i am trying, like many of us, for what remains (life, age, energy etc). Happy to see more and more people address and perhaps transition. Inspiring text you have written.

Questioning the many possible Solutions instead of questioning the problems—I love it. But why would anyone do that when they get so much comfort in wallowing in the problems. 🙄

Good one Teyani 🙏
