Connection is what life is all about - connection with our true selves, with nature and the world around us, and with each other. This is what makes people healthy and whole, it’s literally vital. Studies have proven that folks who are well connected with others live longer, happier lives! Thanks for sharing ♥️ and hoping you receive the best of care.
So much truth and poignancy! I feel grateful for all your new friends in La La Land and how they blanketed you in familial kindness. It’s true what you say: “Sometimes, the inverse of how close we truly are means less need for many words” and because of this, I’m ever more aware of the importance of telling our stories, because as we shift and change with seasons, even those closest to us in proximity, can see us with fresh eyes in our telling.
If there is an up side to living in these troubled times, it's that we are encouraged to seek out members of our tribe for reassurance that we're not alone and to lift each other up when we seem surrounded by so much intolerance and ignorance. May this procedure be the one that provides lasting relief.
Beautiful post Teyani. I’m grateful and heartened by your experience. Thank you for sharing. As we’ve both discovered, life is about these moments. 🙏❤️
Isn't it interesting that in a place such as Substack that connections can feel so genuine and heartfelt, when all other social media can feel so foreign and phony? I've only been here since July and it feels like I belong.
Wow sounds like a dream or movie, I want to stay there!
It’s a wonderful place

I love this Kimberly. Seeing us with fresh eyes.
You have a beautiful way with words, which I very much admire.
I'm so glad you found support and friendship. Wishing you health and a speedy recovery.
Thank you Elizabeth! The new friends met along the way are a balm to the soul.

Thanks Lisa 💞 I love having my tribe. People like you are one of the reasons I’m able to keep chugging along.
So glad you were supported like this, and also so glad you get to go home.
Thank you Sarah. It’s so good to be home again, and I too am grateful for new friends along the way. 💞

I so agree. This is the juiciness of life, isn’t it. Friends who care. Thank you for your encouragement. It means a lot.

I so agree Kate. I think it’s because people aren’t here to become influencers- instead, they are here to write and read other writers.
The influencer crowd might have a party amongst themselves, but I won’t participate,
Glad to connect with you for real
